Your dream has a home

Whether you’re purchasing or selling, I can help you identify the potential in any property.

Appreciation for the beauty of a well-designed home is a lesson that Sylvia Giannitrapani learned at an early age. Sylvia grew up in a Frank Lloyd Wright house in the Oak Park suburb of Chicago and soaked up the rich, cutting-edge 20th century designs for which the Windy City is known. Her travels took her up & down the East Coast with stays in Asheville, NC & Boston, MA, where she enjoyed the heritage of some of the country’s oldest architecture.

Nashville became Sylvia’s home 24 years ago when she started an extended stint as southeastern representative for Ryko Distribution, the respected music distribution company that was home to Frank Zappa and other important eclectic artists and record labels. Sylvia’s first local home was a stone apartment house in Belle Meade. After visiting a musician friend’s beautiful eastside Queen Anne 24 years ago, she was convinced to purchase a bungalow in East Nashville near Shelby Park. Today, she and her husband call a 1918 stone cottage in Inglewood their home.

With her appreciation of historic architecture as well as dynamic modern design, witnessing Nashville’s ongoing renaissance has been a distinct pleasure for Sylvia. She enjoys participating in neighborhood groups and events that enhance this progress as she strives to help people find their unique place in the diverse and richly appealing neighborhoods of Nashville.

With over 30 years experience in sales, marketing and negotiation, Sylvia is well-positioned to be your real estate advocate. Whether you are selling your home or are on your quest for the home that truly suits your needs, she believes that the process should be rewarding. Sylvia understands the importance of the use of space in a home for relaxing, living, working and creating. And with a professional drummer for a husband, she’s especially sensitive to the space needs of people who both live and work in their house.

Having personally renovated a Craftsman Bungalow in East Nashville and mid-century ranches in Inglewood and Donelson, Sylvia has an inherent understanding and appreciation for maintaining historic character while upgrading property for modern function. Whether purchasing or selling, she can help you identify the potential in any property.

In her free time, Sylvia enjoys cooking and collecting artwork when she’s not taking in Nashville’s musical treasures.
